CNN: OPEC to U.S.: Please don't pump so much oil!
OPEC has asked a favor of other major producers: Please stop pumping so much and help us balance the market.
The unusual plea was issued Thursday in the cartel's closely-watched monthly report, which found that global markets are still suffering from too much supply.
The report said that balancing the market would "require the collective efforts of all oil producers" and should be done "not only for the benefit of the individual countries, but also for the general prosperity of the world economy."
OPEC said that one producer in particular is to blame: The U.S., where shale producers have continued to ramp up their drilling despite lower crude prices.

OPEC IS a monopoly, setting prices by controlling production. Now they want our nation to cut back so that gas prices etc will cost our citizens more so they can make more by raising prices and, in so doing,help to fund terror, as the record shows they have been doing.

You are quite correct here. As I've said since the late 1990s and I reiterated again and again post 911 and post Iraq, we can do more to fight Islamic terrorism and provide for our national security by increasing our oil production than anything else we/were are doing.
Frankly we have given OPEC plenty over the years for little to nothing in return. The gulf Arab states/OPEC are bad investments for the American people. Time to drop them.
Finally they are starting to cry. We will work even harder now to insure our energy independence. Stop sending money to people that hate us. That is all we need do.
