The Case Of Florida Democratic Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz's And Her IT Aide Has Just Gotten Interesting

Daily Caller: Wasserman Schultz’s IT Aide Arrested At Airport After Transferring $300k To Pakistan From House Office

Florida Democratic Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz’s right-hand information technology (IT) aide was arrested attempting to leave the country just a few hours after The Daily Caller News Foundation’s Investigative Group revealed that he is the target of an FBI investigation.

The employees had wired $283,000 from the Congressional Federal Credit Union in a House office building to two individuals in Pakistan.

“On January 18, 2017 at 12:09 pm, an international wire transfer request form was submitted [at the Congressional Federal Credit Union] at the Longworth House Office Building in the District of Columbia, in the amount of $283,000.00, to two individuals in Faisalabad, Pakistan,” according to a 10-page affidavit obtained by TheDCNF.

Update #2: Wasserman Schultz staffer arrested trying to leave the country (The Hill)

WNU Editor: My first post on this story was on February 5, 2017 .... Rogue IT Staff Compromised The Computer Networks Belonging To U.S. House Intelligence And Foreign Affairs Committee Members (Febraury 5, 2017). I mentioned then that this could be a non-story .... or a really big story. Five months later ... this is becoming a big story. Equipment and hard drives deliberately destroyed .... EXCLUSIVE: FBI Seized Smashed Hard Drives From Wasserman Schultz IT Aide’s Home (Daily Caller). Florida Democratic Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz threatening capital police that they would face the consequences if equipment was not returned .... Wasserman Schultz Threatens Capital Police With ‘Consequences’ Unless They Return Equipment (Washington Free Beacon). And now this attempt to flee the country but being stopped at the airport. Hmmm .... I have a nose for this .... this could be a case of mortgage fraud and theft .... or something more. If I was a betting man .... I am now saying that there is something more to this story. What is also revealing is that for the past few months this story has only been circulating in conservative media with the main stream media completely ignoring it .... which is surprising because of the media's non-stop focus on hacking and cyber warfare since last year's election. But that was then .... today .... they have clearly made the decision that this story must be followed.

Pres. Trump, a calm, dignified and thoughtful national treasure is the real victim in all of this.

Is 'Murica great again yet? I can't tell.

LMFAO,

You might want to wait for confirmation from sources other than Wingnut Central.

Like say, a statement from the DOJ or FBI,

After all, where did all your Travelgate, Bengahzi, E-mails hyperventilations lead?

Was 'Murica ever great?

No.

The Politico and The Hill are not Wingnut central in my book.

The Daily Caller, which is the root source for the other reports is,

And according to previous Daily Caller stories,

The Awan's had fled to Pakistan in May, with $5 million dollars, where they were under ISI VIP protection,

http://amp.dailycaller.com/2017/05/22/sources-democratic-aide-suspected-of-major-security-breach-under-government-protection-in-pakistan/

Both Politico and the Hill are "if it bleeds, it leads" rumour sites.

So how does someone, who had fled the US to Pakistan in May, wind up getting arrested fleeing to Pakikistan in July?

WNU, name a scandal that the WFB or DC have broken of national import that the mainstream media have missed.

Anon,

I am not that familiar with WFB and DC .... I read them occasionally but it is not the source of news that I follow. In this case .... I stayed away from this story until it was the main stream media who picked up on it today ... and I am now giving them the recognition that is due. But will this case progress more .... I do not know. For now it is NOT a scandal .... it is a criminal case and the rest is speculation .... but like Trump .... juicy speculation to talk about

As for past scandals .... my experience is that the main stream media is excellent at getting stories and uncovering scandals .... the problem is is .... "do they choose to sit and/or bury a story rather than posting about it. Case in point .... Michael Isikoff is still bitter that he was the first to discover that Bill Clinton was having an affair with Monica Lewinsky but Newsweek choose to sit on the story. Hence Drudge took it and is now the site that it is while Michael Isikoff is a small time columnist for Yahoo News.

Imran never left this year - his wife did. The rest of the Awan gang buggered off to Pakistan when the scam fell apart. Not sure why he stuck around. She only just fired him after he was arrested.

First arrest in this whole mess and of course its a Democrat staffer. A Pakistani national staffer that Wasserman-Dumbass let have her secure email password while she was on several sensitive congressional committees. The same staffer who hammered the hard drives. Apparently busily overcharging and double billing in a $4M procurement scam.

Every "scoop" by Drudge is partner to a hoax that he took part in to maintain hits, like Clinton's "illegitimate or some other clickbait.

Corroborate always.

Why do they allow that thing to go out in public without a bag over it's head, we need protection from it's Zombie season 7 Walking Dead face, and it is as about as smart as one as well.
