Before the Obama administration approved a controversial deal in 2010 giving Moscow control of a large swath of American uranium, the FBI had gathered substantial evidence that Russian nuclear industry officials were engaged in bribery, kickbacks, extortion and money laundering designed to grow Vladimir Putin’s atomic energy business inside the United States, according to government documents and interviews.
Federal agents used a confidential U.S. witness working inside the Russian nuclear industry to gather extensive financial records, make secret recordings and intercept emails as early as 2009 that showed Moscow had compromised an American uranium trucking firm with bribes and kickbacks in violation of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, FBI and court documents show.

WNU Editor: I do not know if there is any more to this story than what is being reported .... but it just screams for a more thorough investigation from the Justice Department, and definitely more attention from the press. Will the Justice Department go forward .... I do not know. But I do know that with the exception of a few news sites and conservative blogs, the press has once again made the decision to avoid a story because it goes against their narrative on what they believe the real Russian collusion story is. I have said this more than once .... my beef with the U.S. main stream media is not on the stories that they cover, but on the stories that they choose not to cover. This is just one more example of what I am talking about.
