Will U.S. Military And CIA Leaders Be Investigated For War Crimes?

Huffington Post: U.S. Military And CIA Leaders May Be Investigated For War Crimes

On November 3, the chief prosecutor of the International Criminal Court (ICC) informed the court’s Pre-Trial Chamber, ”[T]here is a reasonable basis to believe that war crimes and crimes against humanity have been committed in connection with the armed conflict in Afghanistan.”

In what Amnesty International’s Solomon Sacco called a “seminal moment for the ICC,” Chief Prosecutor Fatou Bensouda asked the court for authorization to commence an investigation that would focus on US military and CIA leaders, as well as Taliban and Afghan officials.

Bensouda wrote in a November 14, 2016, report that her preliminary examination revealed “a reasonable basis to believe” the “war crimes of torture and ill-treatment” had been committed “by US military forces deployed to Afghanistan and in secret detention facilities operated by the Central Intelligence Agency, principally in the 2003-2004 period, although allegedly continuing in some cases until 2014.”

WNU Editor:  The International Criminal Court will launch an investigation and I will not be surprised if charges are laid against senior U.S. military and intelligence leaders. Will former senior Bush and Obama officials be held accountable .... I doubt it, but we shall see.

Chief Prosecutor Fatou Bensouda is a war criminal.

If a firefighter was fighting a fire and some chihuahua was holding onto the fighter's leg hindering them, you would arrest and prosecute them.

Why do we have an Al Qaeda that is so strong? Iran gave them aid & comfort. Has Fatuous Bensouda laid charges against Iranian officials? No. They are not a spent force. They are still in power. He would only dare lay serious charges against them that he would seriously prosecute them and conduct a serious publicity campaign after they fell from power and not a day sooner. That is but one reason that makes Fatou Bensouda evil.

Europe, Australia, North America are the 3 continents that Bensouda can puff up his chest and strut and preen.

There are so many fighters around the world, who use all the methods & cover of spies yet they want to be treated like soldiers on capture.

BenSouda has no comment on Syrian prisons, Chinese prisons, or Russian prisons or just about anything else.

Until the people are protected (& not just in a herd-like manner) by the IC and by supranational leaders, who can be elected ( & IC judges appointed by elected officials), the IC is a joke, a bad, evil, nasty joke.

Elections for non-national leaders is a joke. In the U.S. we have government paperwork reduction acts. Maybe we should have this for so called leaders and governing bodies. Who has time for municipal, state & national elections. Throw international bodies on top of that.

There is nothing new under the Sun. Governing should be getting easier, with less effort. It is getting harder. The election process takes up more than 50% of the calender now. It is never over. We have jerks saying "The science is settled.", who never passed a science class. Yet these jerks govern from official elected positions or as power brokers behind the scenes.

We would be better off with plumbers, carpenters, and electricians, but we have a surfeit of esquires instead. That is people, who cannot do anything.

El Choda,

I like you. We need more bad guys and you fit the bill.

Trump is releasing the Osama papers. Even Liberal media like The Atlantic know that the Iran helped Al Qaeda.

I have done the research on Iran and Al Qaeda.

What I have not done is research on you.
