Massacre Of Christians In Nigeria Goes Unreported

Fifteen villages were attacked in the state of Nasarawa

Express: Armed gangs WIPE OUT 15 villages in mass Christian slaughter in Nigeria

ARMED men stormed through 15 villages to massacre Christians and destroy their churches in a violent crackdown against the religion in Nigeria.

Dozens of people have been killed after the gangs ransacked towns and villages to clear them of all aspects of the Christian faith.

Houses belonging to believers have also been razed with authorities doing little to help, an anti-persecution watchdog claimed.

Open Doors spoke to one Christian who described the broad daylight attack carried out by a group of Fulani - one of Africa’s largest ethnicities.

A spokeswoman said: “One attack took place in broad daylight, as people were about to go to church.

“The assailants chased and killed the villagers and burned down nine churches and many more houses.”

It's in Africa and its Christians, nobody cares.

If it was muslims there would be another story.

Easy. If it's violence against white people it's ok because white people are evil. If white person dares to complain, it's a sign of racism on his or her part. You're white, you should know how everything is our fault and how every other race is allowed to kill us :)

This is black christians they are talking about..

Dammit haha
OK I'll take it back :) wasn't a great joke anyways
I think we, in large, just have no clue about Africa. Most of us won't even be able to name 25% of its countries, let alone understand the driving forces beyond talking points. And black on black violence I've seen even less covered on msm than black on white

ok. Here is another way to look at this. Now we know what is taking place. What happens next for us? We are now better informed. And so that means......?

Nothing really... the problem in today's world is that we (I don't know about you, talking about myself and most people I know) are just completely overwhelmed with the things happening. Rape, murder, sexism, racism, PC, snowflakes, torture, war, terrorism, financial crises constantly looming, lay-offs, eroding perception of family and values, church pedophiles, mass shooting..and that was just last week's headlines ;) meanwhile income gap gets wider and wider and demands to keep decent employed keep rising, including threat of automation of your job by AI...unless you're a millionaire you won't have a secured future, so everyone is heads down looking out for himself...that's my take. What do you think?

Plus I honestly wouldn't know how to help. I was working for an ngo once but it wasn't really effective imo... Now i wouldn't even know what to do. If I'd go there to help I'd probably be killed the first day. I stick out easily lol
I honestly want to help but every day there's 20-30 headlines of massacre and other things competing. .so at the moment I'm just helping poor people I see on the streets sometimes

I'm a pessimist when it comes to things like this. The issue everywhere is overpopulation, the big fat elephant in the room, that in turn make people do -put in anything here-. It amplify's poverty which in turn makes people do desperate things. That's why we see so much unrest. Then we have social media that amplify's everything even more. It's a spiral of violence and there is absolutely nothing we can do about it. It is sad, but it is true. And it is going to get worse.

This is why we see overpopulated countrys descend into civil wars, countrys with high unemployment gets high unrest.

But what you can do? I don't even know where you live. But follow the human rule: help people near you and don't be douche.

anons all
if we are simply then to help people near us, then what do I care about what is taking place elsewhere if there is nothing i can or should or will do?Should I care about Syria, where there are Americans involved in a civil war that did not get congressional approval, and a war that is perhaps over oil if not for addtional things...And as for other items that Hans noted, you can read Steve Pinker's new book which suggests that health, wages, longivity, murder rates, famines, etc have all improved remarkably over the years and nothing is worse but much better than it had been in earlier centuries. And, if you want to apply the "rule" that you need only worry about those close to you, does that mean your family, your city, your nation? If you and yours, then: have a car, housing, job, health plan, etc? why worry about others? Alternativly, if you belive you should go beyond immediate connections, what can you do and why are you not doing it?

Smith seems all caught up with tiresome old saws (oil) yet is seemingly unable to comment with out a reference to liberals, Obama as the root cause of all things bad. As for treaty:
https://www.theguardian.com/.../iran-nuclear-deal-us-senate-vote-disapproval-live-up...

Sep 10, 2015 - Obama says in the statement: Today, the Senate took an historic step forward and voted to enable the United States to work with our international partners to enable the implementation of the comprehensive, long-term deal that will prevent Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon.

the woman's name? right. I do not recall or even know it. I know though what she did and what took place. Can you tell me her shoe size and does that matter?

Cynical Fred, you misunderstood. We all care, hence why we read the blog. But there's a difference between -caring- at heart and realistically -being able to help- without completely changing/risking your life. Please don't tell me to donate to ngos to help. I've done that. Please don't tell me voting makes a difference. Neither hillary nor trump make any difference whatsoever in this war machinery controlled by geopolitical forces. To me that's the reality. I'm a few decades short of your lifespan, Fred, I acknowledge that.. but I've seen my share.

even conservative zero hedge notes how the war involves oil and gas

I can not look up names of various senators and how they voted. You are right that Obama took an authority beyond traditional treaty making, and Trump claimed he would dump that treaty...but of course has not...ENOUGH SENATORS VOTED TO SUPPORT OBAMA IRAN TREATY

as for your insults: I do take drugs. They are all legal and medical.
As I havew stated in the past:
YOU ARE A NAME CALLING MISFIT

Aizino for the love of God please stop with the libtard thing and trashing Fred's opinion. Not everything can be blamed on Obama or liberals.

What is wrong with you? Why are you such a mean, hateful person to Fred? You can point out facts, and you may be right, but please stop your hatred..it's not OK

I would never tell you what to do or not do. those are your choices. Yes. we follow this and other blogs, and yes, we are not going to do much to change things, but then, perhaps, even voicing our positions is a positive thing that might in some small manner help, finally.

Aizino I've been reading your comments for quite some time now (and Fred's, who comments a bit less frequently than you do)...

Look I don't know if he lied or just was misinformed. But I know you're clearly an intelligent guy, gifted even perhaps, but you gotta work on your attitude. It's honest advice. ..I'll leave it at that :)

It's quite easy buddy- state your facts without going off into a tyranny of narcissism. Not taking sides with any other person on this site, but I think a lot of us agree you take things too far. However if you can stick to the article at hand some of us may begin to appreciate your input. I don't give a sh#t about the Russian trolls, fred, jay, fazman, caecus or anyone else I just scroll past looking for actual facts that may enlighten me on the situation. Have mentioned this before smith, why don't you also comment on other defence sites? I don't mean this as a challenge, but I think your thoughts will be welcomed and challenged all the same. Personally I am looking forward to the day where WNU's site is receiving a lot more comments from OTHER readers.
