The Russian Army is planning to recreate the Main Political Directorate that existed in the Soviet Army (GlavPUR), according to the Deputy Chairman of the Public Council at the Russian Ministry of Defense, Alexander Kanshin. “The role of the moral and political unity of the army and society is increasing immensely at the time of global informational and psychological confrontation. Therefore, it is necessary to fundamentally reform and significantly strengthen the armed force’s entire [political] structure, which will organize, conduct and be responsible for the moral and ideological aspect of the Russian Army,” Kanshin said (Interfax, February 5).

In order for Russia and China to become a bettering functioning axis in war, the Russians must increase indoctrination and party supremacy throughout the ranks. On the order and to the extent that the Chi-Coms direct all that IS in China.
The scary bit is this: Democracies are typically bad at conducting long-term war, because their populations are relatively well informed. Nations like Russia, and especially China, who have their massive internet firewalls filtering any information that comes in (China), propaganda officers (China, Russia) and suppression of dissenting opinions with imprisonment and torture (mostly China, but also Russia), is extremely dangerous to us all, because they can lie about everything that is going on AND their populations will never find out. China's great firewall is harder to bypass than ever - VPNs that used to work no longer work etc.. it's getting really really dangerous if more than 1.5bn people do not believe the rest of the world, live in their own "news bubble" and are fed propaganda about evil Americans, evil Europeans, evil Japanese etc etc.. this will not end well.. China and Russia need to decide if we want to edge closer to WW3, or if we come back from the bring of total annihilation. Open up your systems, stop lying, stop propaganda, stop torture and imprisonment. It's 2018 ffs

They block by volume. The biggest vpns are gone. ..they started blocking them 2 years ago and ever since it got worse. You must be on a small player vpn that still gets by..which vpn are you using?

Fair point. But Germany and Japan - the driving forces of ww1/ww2 (Japan only latter) - were not democracies...it took several democratic nations, England, US on one side to defeat them. The US, as you know, was only relatively briefly involved in the war and acted for a good time as the material and weaponry supplier for other nations (mostly UK) first. Much of the killing was done on the Russian side, which was not a democracy then nor now. Remember how Russians shot each other in the back so they'd face German forces. That's not democracy. :)
